Chanca Piedra

Description

Traditionally, this herb has been used to break up kidney stones and gallstones. Chanca Piedra may also protect the liver by decreasing the enzyme linked to liver damage, increasing antioxidant enzymes and lowering oxidative stress and inflammation.

Chanca Piedra grows in tropical regions all over the world. In Ayurveda, this herb has been used for thousands of years for many different ailments such as jaundice, malaria, diabetes, digestive issues, urinary tract infections and skin diseases. Chanca Piedra has been shown to fight viruses, bacteria and free radicals. Additionally, the tannins it contains may help prevent cancer.

Pregnant women or women using fertility enhancing drugs should not use  Chanca Piedra.
