There are some things I believe we all need because we are part of the human race. We are all biology. So, whether you are 18 or 80.
Whether you are a man or a woman. Black, white, brown, whatever. Our bodies need many similar nutrients. Many times people tell me that they feel they can’t afford to buy all the supplements they would like to buy. I have strong opinions that we will do whatever we can to afford those things that are important to us. I see it every, single day. Think of it this way…it’s much cheaper to prevent disease than to wait until you get
something and then try to cure it. Being sick is expensive. Everything in your life suffers. Everything. And being sick costs you much more money than you might realize. So, here’s the thing. Before you get overwhelmed with all the supplement choices, start with this one big supplement. YOUR FOOD. Look at yourself as a million-dollar race horse. Would you give a million-dollar race horse fast food, junk food, sugar and soda? No way, right? You would treat it with respect and only feed it the very best nutrition so that it could perform for you. Think of your body in the same way. When you feed yourself poor quality food there is no way your body can sleep well, move well, exercise with ease and just feel comfortable in your daily activities. Every time you eat, you are giving your body a strong message. You are telling it that it is either very important to you or quite the opposite. Every single food choice and bite counts. When you start to look at it this way, you realize the power you have over how your body performs for you. You can literally eat your way to vibrant health or disastrous disease. Dial in your nutrition and start eating organic, nutrient dense food. You can’t cover up a bad diet with supplements. Once you are on your way to eating more nutritious food, then start adding supplements. We live in the best time ever to be alive. We have access to pretty much anything we need or want and that includes the best supplements.
My Supplement Routine
This first section makes up my daily routine. I don’t skip these. I travel with them.
Cayenne pepper, Cinnamon, Slippery Elm) – This blend improves digestion, metabolism and my favorite, heart health. Slippery Elm cleanses the blood and helps your stomach handle the heat from Cayenne.
Anti-Aging</strong> (Spirulina) – High in protein, contains all your B Vitamins and has all your Amino Acids. Just a very smart superfood to add to your daily diet.
(Broken cell wall Chlorella) – powerful chelator. That means it helps our body expel heavy metals. I started researching this when I had my silver fillings removed more than 16 years ago, If you have or have ever had silver fillings, if you eat fish or if you use antiperspirant with aluminum…then you will be able to easily protect the health of your body and brain by making Chlorella part of your daily diet.
The best deal is to purchase on subscribe and save and get 10% off. You can also purchase a package of all 4 supplements at once.
Enzymes – I get mine from a company called E3 Live (I’m not an affiliate – I just love their products) and here’s what you need to know about enzymes. <p>Enzymes are proteins that control the speed of chemical reactions in your body. They are vital for life and serve a wide range of functions from digestion to metabolism. Do a little research on your own. You’ll be amazed. And here’s a good reason to eat more raw veggies and fruits…they
contain lots of enzymes! When you cook vegetables and fruits, you literally destroy all the life-giving enzymes.
Probiotics – Your body has more bacterial cells than regular cells. You are quite literally crawling with lots and lots of bacteria. But that’s good! It’s the way we stay healthy and whole. Due to the overuse of antibiotics and other drugs along with the crazy diets and stress that we experience as modern humans, our normal beneficial bacteria balance has been completely thrown off. I keep a bottle of probiotics in my fridge (I use several different brands) but most days I drink kefir that I’ve made myself or I’ll eat 1/2 cup or so of fermented veggies that I’ve also made myself.
Food is the best way to get your probiotics. But sometimes it can be difficult to do this, and this is where a really good supplement comes in. B A good rule to follow when buying probiotics is to make sure they need to be stored in the refrigerator. That way you’ll know that all the bacterial strains will last longer and be more viable when you’re ready to take them. Krill oil has been part of my daily routine for more than 20 years. Here’s why. It protects your heart. Improves brain health and boosts immune function. Improves joint lubrication and overall joint function. Helps maintain healthy cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Just to name a few.
Again, do a little research on your own. Look at the benefits of krill oil rather than just fish oil. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Brain Support – BrainGlow is something I spent 2 and 1/2 years formulating. It has 8 herbs in it and is designed to improve oxygen and circulation to the brain providing mental clarity, energy and focus. I take 2 capsules in the middle of the afternoon when I would normally have reached for green tea with that caffeine kick to get me through the rest of the day.
The cool thing about the way I formulated BrainGlow is that it doesn’t make you feel hyped up. There are two herbs that give your brain calmness and helps to ease anxiety. And for me, dementia prevention is critically important as I get older.
We now have a 7-day-trial-brain-glow for those that want to experience BrainGlow before buying a whole bottle. It’s a great way to try it out and you can save the small bottle to refill when you travel!
Zinc is found in cells throughout your body. You need it because it helps your body’s immune system function properly. Here’s what it does – it assists in cell division, cell growth, wound healing and breaking down carbohydrates. You also need it to help you with smell and taste.
Vitamin D – Vitamin D is actually a steroid hormone. It’s technically not really even a vitamin. The best way to get Vitamin D is to get 10-15 minutes of sunshine directly on your skin.
Get your levels tested so you know exactly how much you need. If you have dark skin and/or you live in a part of the world that has long, cold winters then you might need to supplement throughout most of the year.
This is my basic daily routine and then throughout the year I will do a parasite cleanse and other blood cleansing herbs to simply prevent disease and promote good health.
Some months I add Vitamin C, Iodine and Vitamin E when I feel like I need it. I do muscle testing on myself, so it helps me stay tuned with what my body needs.
This might seem like a lot of supplementation, but it feels easy for me and it’s really not that many when you stack them all up!
Get into a routine with the right supplementation for you and you’d be surprised how quickly you can improve your health. It’s like any new habit. It will seem a little time-consuming and maybe even a little expensive at first. But trust me, I’ve seen it first hard from many people. Those who pay attention to their nutrition and supplementation year after year have beautiful, vibrant health. I can spot them anywhere!
Then be patient and consistent. Most times you can’t “”feel”” something working. Correct supplementation doesn’t always work that way.
There are some supplements that I take and I can tell right away that they’re working and they are Turmeric and BrainGlow (I can also tell when I miss them!)
I’d love to hear your feedback and also know what supplement routine works for you.
